SMA Aero Engines Maintenance Training Information
SMA Aero Engines offers maintenance training courses on the innovative SR305-230 series engines to meet the experience requirement to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
These courses, developed by SMA, are designed to provide worldwide training on the engine design, operation and maintenance via eLearning and hands-on training.
They are taught in English but other languages may be available, contact us for details.
Students will receive a certificate upon completion of each course.
1) Line Service: e-learning course
This self-paced online course is available worldwide at any time. It covers diesel engine operating principles, engine systems, SECUR system interface program and troubleshooting. It is limited to the SR305-230 scheduled maintenance program as described in the Maintenance Manual.
2) Line Maintenance : hands-on course
This 2 day interactive course provides advanced training with hands-on practice on actual SR305-230 series engines to perform unscheduled maintenance such as cylinder removal and fuel control actuator rigging. Classes are taught in small groups by professional instructors in the USA and France.
Completion of the Line Service course is required prior to registering for the Line Maintenance course.
